Writing about yourself is pretty much one of the most difficult things to write about. You’d think it’d be easy – I’ve known me for as long as I can remember.

I’ll start with this. I’m Dave and I’m the very proud husband to my gorgeous wife Dee. At the beginning of 2018 we became new parents to two beautiful babies, Elliot and Sadie. We’re also doggy parents to our rather odd Minature-Schnauzer mix  Boggins (AKA – Bogs, BogDog, The Bogster, The Bogmeister). We’re not sure what the other have of the mix is, but we think it may be a rabbit.

I’m at my happiest when it’s the five of us. I can’t wait until the kids are old enough to go walking in the woods or take day trips to the beach to build sand castles only for Boggins to come ploughing in as he does knocking everything over with excitement. Just that simple thought makes me smile. If you follow my Instagram or check out my personal blog then you’ll get a little window into our daily lives. It’s a great way to get to know your photographer.

As for how I came to be a photographer – Unfortunately, you’re not going to hear any stories here about how I used to play with my dad’s old cameras or anything like that.

The ability to freeze a moment in time and to keep that memory alive. The face of someone you may never see again. It doesn’t need a ton of explaining.

I taught myself photography and through years of shooting weddings I’ve come to know what I love to photograph – people. It’s when photographing people that the true power of what the camera can do becomes clear.
The ability to freeze a moment in time and to keep that memory alive. The face of someone you may never see again. It doesn’t need a ton of explaining.
I love a beautiful image as much as the next, but what moves me is a photograph that emotionally draws me into the picture and allows me to know what was happening that that very moment. It could be a happy moment, it could be a sad moment but at least I’m feeling something.

I’ve taken photographs of people who no longer walk this earth. I’ve received messages to tell me that a photo I took is priceless to them. That is what matters to me and I’m glad to be able to do that for people. I’d love to be able to do that for you.
