Deirdre and Joe at Bellinter House
Some wedding days are just easy. Easy to shoot. Easy to mix with people. Easy going. This without a doubt was one of them. All day in the same location – Joe and Deirdre got ready onsite at Bellinter House where they’d be later having the ceremony and reception. What made it even easier was that all morning both of them were milling about and mixing with guests in a totally non-supersticious and untraditional way. It was great and made photographing everything a pure joy. Joe and Deirdre made a smart move and bought their kids console along with them so they were kept entertained and Belinter House’s pool room was the epicentre of all things fun.
Joe and Deirdre were such a lovely couple all day. Both they and their families and friends were a pure joy to be around and really made me feel so welcome from the moment I stepped through the door. I started the day super early so I almost felt like a guest myself by the time the ceremony came around as I was milling about and chatting to people as the morning progressed. I love that as it really settles me in and I don’t feel rushed. The ceremony was held in Bellinter House’s very own little ceremony room which is quite sweet and great to photograph. It’s cosy too so feels so intimate even with a small crowd. Another thing I love is that they always carry out the speeches before dinner in the main living room. It’s always a great atmosphere and this crowd loved the banter that’s for sure!
To Deirdre and Joe, thank you so, so much for having me there and being so super generous with me in every way.
Sorry but you’ll have to indulge me while I share a little email I received from Deirdre and Joe after the wedding, titled “Gush Gush”. How sweet.
I just want to say thank you so much for last Friday but to be honest I can’t put into words what it was like for us to have you there. I can only say how thrilled we are to have found you. You were a joy to be around and I can only put my complete composure down to how relaxed you are and how you made me feel. You are the definition of stealth – I had no idea where you were most of the time. And when I was getting my make up done and had my eyes closed I could sense you near me but when I opened my eyes you were on the other side of the room – you could give Dynamo a run for his money!!
I will continue to stalk you but not in a way that you should be concerned about.
A million thank you’s and much love,
Deirdre & Joe xxx
