Well hello. It’s been a while. This what happens to us wedding photographers at this time of year – we spend all our time behind the lens and in front our screens editing that it’s almost impossible to find any more time aside from that to blog. Well for me this ends today because I’m here to bring you a new blog and I can’t wait to share it with you.
This is the wedding of Catherine and Philip and I can only apologise in advance if you’re not big on scrolling. This one could take a while.
I met Catherine and their gorgeous little pooch Robin one sunny Sunday a couple of weeks before the wedding. We did more talking about dogs and everything else under the sun that we did about weddings (always a good sign in my book) but I remember just as we were about to say our goodbye’s I said “I guess I should really talk about the photography aspect of the day!”. I then went on to tell Catherine about my philosophy at weddings and what I hope to capture for her and Philip. When I’d finished she had a great big beaming smile and told me that this was exactly what she wanted to hear. Perfect.
The day came and it could not have been better. Talk about being blessed. This summer really hasn’t been the best for us here in Ireland but these guys really rolled a double six. It was insanely good. And the setting – Castlemaryr Resort was made for days like. Just beautiful.
Catherine and Philip were a dream to be around and they well and truly enjoyed their wedding day to the max by smiling and laughing throughout without a care in the world. Catherine is well known for her motto – Live, Love, Laugh and she more than lives by it. They are genuinely two of the nicest people I’ve ever photographed and knowing that you guys are only up the road from Dee and I in Kilkenny we NEED to meet up far more often. Boggins and Robin are best friends waiting to happen.
