Eve and Pete – Dublin City
This is the city wedding of Eve and Pete.
No.. This is the countryside festival style wedding of Eve and Pete.
What? Actually, it’s both.
When Eve told me that she was having difficulty in finding a venue that suited her and Pete, and instead were going to have their ceremony in Dubin City Hall followed by the wedding reception in a Christmas Tree farm located behind their house I couldn’t have been more happy with the news. I absolutly love it when a couple decide to do things entirely differently to anyone else and make the day a unique experience for everyone involved. All they needed was the weather, and that played along beautifully. Someone was looking after them.
I’ll be honest. I begged Eve to let me blog this day and here’s the reason. This is the type of wedding I want to shoot over and over again. To photograph weddings that are totally unique to the couple. To photograph people, like Eve and Pete, who wear every emotion their going through right there on their face. To hug people like they’re never going to see them again. Laugh like it’s the funniest thing theyve every heard and cry with absolutely no sign of embarrassment – which is exactly the way it should be.
There are so many stories behind the images below that only Eve and Pete and their very close friends and family will be aware of. There are glaces and human touches captured that if they could be relived over and over again they’d never wear out. All I could ever hope achieve for Eve and Pete is that, somehow these images will allow those glaces and touches to remain a very strong memory for years to come.
Eve – thank you for caving in to me endless and pitful begging. Massive hugs when we see each other soon.

Hi Shane, Thanks so much for the comment. Really appreciate you taking the time. Glad to hear you too are loving your Fuji experience. I hear you on the back button continuous focus on the Xpro2. I'm so used to not having it anymore that I pretty much don't even use it on the XT2. If I need continuous AF on either camera now I just switch it over to CF and use the regular shutter button. I still use back button focus on the Xpro2 and TX2 other than that. My only wish is that the buttons were a little better placed. Ya can't have everything :) I haven't got the X100F but I'll certainly be looking forward to trying it out. I used to own the X100T and loved it but found I had no real need for it once I got the XPro2. I have the X70 and love it the more I use it - I just don't use it anywhere near enough! Cheers Shane Dave
