Foodworks Kilkenny

Kilkenny is such a great place to eat out with so many great cafe’s, bars and restaurants you really can be spoilt for choice and even though Dee and I have lived in Kilkenny for almost 3 years we’ve still only scratched the surface of what’s available. Part of that reason is that we can be creatures of habit and love going to our favourites time and time again as we know we’re going to get great food and service with a smile. Case in point, yesterday we revisited Foodworks on Parliament Street for lunch. I asked if I could take a few photos and they kindly obliged and not only that, told me to go up to hatch to see the food being prepared. I tell you what, there is no better sight to get your appetite working overtime than watching a chef prepare mouth watering dishes right in front of you.

Dee and I had the Spit roast corn fed chicken breast on a bed of creamy mash and greens and my goodness was it delicious!
Unfortunately for all those unearthed eating haunts  in Kilkenny they’ll have to wait a little longer and we know we’ll be back time and time again at Foodworks.
Big thanks to Maeve and Peter for looking after us so well and allowing me to take these photos.
