Yesterday Dee and I decided that a little Sunday drive was in order. We looked up the Discover Ireland app to give us some inspiration before quickly deciding to head toward Wexford town and then we’d take it from there. We hit Wexford around mid afternoon and took a little walk along the harbour before heading through the town centre and quickly found ourselves back at our car wondering, what next? As we were only 20km or so from Rosslare we headed in that direction. When we got there the sun was out and it was like a different day completely! We parked up, had a quick coffee in Kelly’s hotel and then went for a lovely long walk along the beach. It was just gorgeous and plenty of people were out enjoying the weather. With all this driving and walking we’d worked up an appetite, so dropped in to Joel’s for a takeaway fish and chips (be rude not too) to enjoy by the sea before one final walk along the beach toward the car and heading further around the coast to Kilmore Quay and coming across the most amazing field of Rapeseed on our way which I of course made the ever suffering Dee stand in and be my model as I played with my new camera.
The new camera being my Fujifilm X-T1 and Fujifilm XF 23mm f1.4 R lens which I’ve had for around three weeks now. It was great to finally be using it for more personal reasons as so far it’s really only been used for weddings and a family shoot as a second camera body, which I should say has worked out brilliantly for. I plan on doing a specific blog review of the X-T1 at some point so stay tuned. If you’ve any questions on the camera though leave a comment and I’ll try to answer. One great little thing about it right off the bat is that I can now appear in the photos with Dee as I can use the wifi function to connect the camera to my phone and press the shutter from 100 feet away! See the beach shot of the two of us further below to get an idea 🙂
