This was a wedding I had a hard time leaving – Even after 15 hours of shooting. When things just keep on happening in front of you it’s hard to put the camera away.
Maybe it’s a Cloughjordan House thing. The last time I was there I felt the very same. The only difference between then and now was that this time the weather played along. Really though, there were so many ingredients that made this day a recipe for photography heaven. Grainne and Andy are super cool and more importantly, relaxed and at ease. Nothing was ever a panic or a stress to them and that in itself makes my job a million times easier. They had the most awesome bunch of friends and family who made me feel like one of them. Oh, and that baby – with the shoes. He was there and his shoes rocked. You’ll see. Then of course the folk at Cloughjordan treat you just as well as they treat the guests not to mention they have one of the most stunning venues in Ireland that straddles the line between fancy, cool, country chic and farmhouse feel. Okay, that’s straddling several lines but that’s just how it is 🙂 I just love shooing in venues like this as it really gets your creative juices flowing and it that which makes you want to keep on shooting.
This blog is long. Very, very long and I know a lot of you will quit maybe even before you get to the midway point – but just as I was saying to a friend of mine the recently – I blog for the couples, their friends and their families – the folk who want to relive this day which created so much fun and laughter and INCREDIBLE action on the dancefloor. I salute you all.
Oh and the band rocked. The Firm – check them out!
