To be asked to shoot any wedding is a humbling experience but I’d be lieing if I said that wasn’t especially true when you’re asked to shoot the wedding of a fellow photographer.
So when Katie got in touch to ask if I’d photograph her and Darran’s big day I was incredibly honoured. She is not only a very well respected photographer in her own right but she is also well loved amongst her peers here in Ireland so it was a true privledge to be chosen to document their day.
This is a day that was not so much a wedding but one huge party. In Katie’s own words “Possibly the best party we’ve ever thrown”. Possibly? I need to hang out with these two more if this was “Possibly” the
This though is what every wedding should be, one huge party where you worry less about timelines and instead about who you’re going to laugh with next. And laughing is what these two did all day long, with everyone. It was a joy to be part of and I hope you enjoy this window into their day.
It all took place at the wonderful Horetown House in Wexford.
Katie and Darran, thank you both again. This meant the world.
