Katie and Cormac at Springfort Hall
This is the wedding of Katie and Cormac at Springfort Hall in Mallow, just outside Cork.
You know you’re going to have a good day when you’re given a Sheriff’s badge first thing in the morning. Katie had seen my utterly ludicrous Facebook profile picture and decided to use it in her wedding booklets to let people know that they had no need to take photos as there would be a sheriff in town, and what sheriff doesn’t have a sheriff’s badge? Exactly.
This day was so good. I had been Instagram friends with Katie and Comac for about a year before their big day so it was a little like shooting a wedding of a friend – which got me thinking, I should be Instagram friends with all my couples!
They had a humanist ceremony was held onsite at Springfort Hall which was really lovely and full of laughs and cheers, none bigger than when lighting the candles Katie one of her nails go on fire! I’ve had weddings with dresses on fire before (you’ll need to google that one) but never nails 🙂 A first for everything!
The rest of the day had much less drama. In fact it was one of the most chilled out weddings I’ve been too. Katie and Cormac are definitely from the relaxed camp. Easy going and not in a hurry to do anything which is exactly how you should be on your wedding day. Taking in the little moments, enjoying the conversations with friends but also the time they got together alone. Weddings go super quick, so slowing down to breathe it all in is exactly what’s needed.
I hope you enjoy this little insight into their day.
